I didn’t have as much time in San Diego when I visited last month. But I did get to walk along North Harbor Drive in the Embarcadero with my family. If you have an interesting in ships, you can definitely pass by the “Star of India” and view an old beauty that is nearly 200 years old.
It is also nice to pass by a few famous scenes including a 25 foot statue of the “Victory Kiss” between the nurse and the sailor.
I also love the re-enactment of Bob Hope entertaining the trips.
This is definitely a great chance to witness pieces of American history (for free!) and catch some typical Southern Californian sunshine. Enjoy!
Have you visited the Embarcadero? What else is a must visit there?
Beautiful place. We enjoyed our San Diego trip as well.

Aah, looks like a gorgeous trip, such lovely pics!
There’s something I find so romantic about old sailing ships – makes me want to take a trip with the wind in my hair!

Never made it to San Diego when we visited. Bummer. Wanted to see La Jolla too. There was the ever slightest chance of a possible move there and though I have never visited, I think I would jump at the chance. Supposed to be gorgeous year round weather. xo
Such gorgeous photos – makes me want to plan a trip there!

Yes I have and I loved it too! Thanks for bringing me back. We’ve been talking about planning another CA trip in the fall 🙂 xoxo
Sigh, I love San Diego – it’s definitely my adopted city, and my husband and I have casually discussed moving there one day (he lived there for 10 years before moving to San Francisco and owns a condo in La Jolla). With beautiful sights and weather, how can you not be happy there? I love that old ship, too!
San Diego is really pretty, you’re reminding me that I should make a trip down there soon–I don’t live far. Happy Tuesday!
