“You must not ever stop being whimsical. Β And you must not, ever, give someone else the responsibility for your life.”
Mary Oliver, Wild Geese
Β
When was the last time you were whimsical? Perhaps you sang out little a little tooΒ loudly? Β Did you play a harmless little joke on a friend (nice ones please)? Β Maybe you wore something bright and yellow, just because you felt like it (not to make a fashion statement)?
I was instantly drawn to these pictures by Rodney Smith because they combined a whimsical air with a touch of elegance. Β I suddenly have a desire to host a grown-up tea party or brunch! Β After all, being whimsical is having fun, being light, and enjoying a good laugh. Β What could be bad about that?
Have a lovely week!
I love that quote π
Awww…this is so cute. One of my friends always used to say Whimsical and I thought it was such a fun word. Great post and I love the photos. Life is so much better having fun and laughing.

Just yesterday, in fact! At my cousin’s brial tea! π
Love all of these photos. Just put me in a chipper mood. Thank you! xoxo
If singing a little too loudly is whimsical than I feel bad for my daughter. She must think I am a nut.
I think my problem is being TOO whimsical TOO much of the time. π Ha!

I definitely agree with this post. I need to be more whimsical more often. Maybe a teapot on my head would do the trick. But seriously, love this post.
Such a great post – I adore the whimsical feel of the images!

Hi sweety, hope your week has started off well. This may sound strange but THANK you so much for posting that quote, it just brightened up my day and reminded me to be me.
Love your photos! I feel like I got branded as whimsical for so long with my designs, that I keep it in the closet as much as possible, but it does rear it’s whimsical head as much as possible!
