But it’s not just Miuccia Prada’s creations. Ā Costume designer Catherine Martin also collaborated with Tiffany & Co. to create the luxurious pieces of jewelry for Daisy Buchanan and Brooks Brothers designed all of Jay Gatsby’s outfits.

Ok, but back to the movie…the novel “The Great Gatsby” is one of the most celebrated pieces of American literature. Ā But it isn’t just about the richly flawed and awesomely rich characters. Ā It is also about the sense of romance and decadence that was celebrated in that era. I found a few current fashionable pieces that were reminiscent of the era, but at more affordable prices.

I think I love all the accessories more than the clothes from the era, they are so glam and blingy. I would love those earrings and the first exquisite hair ribbon/band.

oh those shoes!!!!! – do u know i STILL have yet to wear my Loubs – i think the f*ckers sold me a size too small – not there TOTAL fault – but *augh* frustrates me all the time when i see the damn box just sitting there

Saw the trailer on the big screen for it last weekend and it looks stupendous. The costumes are to die for!

Thanks dear. The dress is a nice versatile one and the dropped waist reminds me of a 1920s style dress. Btw, I just got a tripod and thought of you. Now I have to figure out why the remote control doesn’t work after I already set the drive to the right setting. I’m also not completely used to shooting on manual so we’ll see!
