What will be included in your life story?
I saw this photoshoot dedicated to fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh celebrating manga or Japanese comics and started to think about my story.  Then I came across the quote above about how everyone is a hero in their own story.  It makes sense that when we look back at our lives, we want to celebrate the parts of it where we are portrayed as the best versions of ourselves; we want to remember that we are kinder, more generous, more intelligent, and certainly prettier than we may actually be.  I don’t deny that I want my story to highlight the good parts.  But now that I have a daughter, I also realize that I don’t just want to be a hero in my own story, but an important character in someone else’s story as well.  I want to have made a meaningful impact and brought not only curiosity, ambition, and hope, but laughter and of course love.  Here is to being a hero in the stories that matter to us most!
Have a lovely week!

Be glad you’re not in NYC right now. It’s freezing!

What a fun editorial! I really like the eye makeup. I think it’s very true that we are the hero of our own story 🙂

I love these whimsical shoots, and appreciate the anime influence.
I suppose we all need to be the heroes of our own stories… no one else can save you from yourself.
