“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”

Do you consider yourself a musical person?
While I grew up playing the piano and a little bit of violin, I couldn’t always fully express myself with these instruments. I was in various choirs growing up though and found singing to be a nice medium to let my feelings be known. Nowadays I not only sing for myself, but for my daughter. I have sung playful little songs with accompanying motions like the “Itsy bitsy spider”, but also belted out 70s disco hits like “Stayin’ alive” (don’t ever deny a baby disco – they love those dance moves!) I want her not only to know these classic songs, but also to recognize my voice in different ways. It is a way for me to show her my creativity mixed in with a little playfulness and lots of love. I hope music truly expresses how I feel in all those different ways.
Have a lovely week!
I love music, I couldn’t live without it!! I’ve sung in shows, plays, church and musicals since a child. It was always my favourite time. I sing when I am going through my day, I always find some kind of healing through music. These are gorgeous pictures, so vibrant. Happy Monday doll xx
friend of mine has that quote as a tattoo on her. love it.
I wish I was more musical 🙂
I’ve always sung and can play the piano some. Lately I have been teaching myself guitar…although I wish I had more time to dedicate to it! I always think music (either vocal or instrumental) is a great way to take the focus off you and to find some new joy….
I love music and I used to play piano as a child. Those images are so beautiful:) Have a great day, dear.
I love that you are singing to your daughter, that’s the kind of thing that stays with kids forever 🙂 I used to play the piano and violin and still love almost all kinds of music.
