Oscars Best Dressed 2018

I’ll always love the red carpet, even if I’m living in shift dresses and leggings.  While I wasn’t surprised at my love for Lupita, Jennifer (Garner and Lawrence!), and Zendaya’s outfits, I was pleasantly taken with Allison Janney as well as Williams and Jane Fonda.  Let’s also take note of Rita Moreno’s gown which was custom made for her in Manila and first worn when she accepted the Oscar 52 years ago. Now that’s vintage done right!  Personally, I liked how she accessorized it the first time.

I adored a variety of looks from golden or metallic A-line silhouettes to simple white column dresses.  But I think I’ll always remember Allison Janney’s sleeves from this year! Also, let’s all look to Jane Fonda for inspiration – put down the cupcake and take a walk around the block already right?  Zendaya also proved that one can be both elegant and effortlessly cool. Jennifer Garner’s outfit particularly caught my eye because of the bold color and lovely asymmetrical silhouette.
