“Fortune is like glass – the brighter the glitter, the more easily broken.”
Publilius Syrus

Do the fortunate appreciate what they have? Ā Quite a few wealthy individuals definitely relish their good fortune. Ā They’ll bestow Bentleys on loved ones and have no problem bringing on the bottle service when they’re at the hottest spots in town. Ā Of course they’ll post the requisite Instagram pictures of their fabulous lives as well – after all, it doesn’t matter if no one’s seen it on social media right? When I saw this editorial ofĀ Kate Bosworth in Glamour Mexico November 2017, I thought about the concept of fast fortunes and glittering lifestyles.
I had recently heard about the rapid descent of a wealthy family I know. Ā While the first generation lived a luxurious existence, it was squandered by the next generation. Ā One of the kids simply didn’t earn money and simply lived off the money from the family. He had his own kids and also just used maintained a lifestyle paid for by his parents. Ā It’s no wonder that the money eventually disappeared. It just reminds me that everything is fleeting. Ā Our toned bodies may soften, our fortunes may dwindle, and our hair may turn gray. Ā We should not only enjoy, but protect what we have while we have it. Sparkle on!
Have a lovely week!

That sparkly, beaded jumpsuit in the first photo is pretty cool. And yes, we should enjoy what we have when we have it!
I really like that quote. It’s good to be reminded how fleeting everything in life is.
That’s s stunning photoshoot, and I know what you mean about not knowing the value of money, I want to buy my kids everything they want in life, but I know it’s important to teach them about the value of money and working hard for it. Conversations I’m sure I’ll have more as they get older š
Hope you are having a lovely week so far! The heatwave has gone so I’m enjoying the cooler weather. Even if it’s still a bit humid, at least there is some rain š
Away From The Blue Blog
Anything you don’t replenish can fade away! It’s definitely something to think about. Love this photoshoot. That green and orange outfit is amazing.
