Otherwise this weekend I am…
…getting ready to host a holiday party. Ā We had meant to have a get together for my birthday but got sidetracked by other things so we are now inviting some people over for a holiday party. Ā A lot of our friends are traveling, but we still expect about 20 people. Ā I’m going to take it easy (sort of) and my husband ordered a turkey with stuffing. He will make corned beef while I prepare all the side dishes over the next few days. Ā I’m thinking of making Ā sweet and salty (char siew) flavored chicken wings, carrot and potato pudding, creamed spinach, and mushroom turnovers. Ā Oh and course we’ll have a dessert – perhaps I’ll try out pumpkin bread pudding or maybe just make some Christmas cookies! Ā It will be a little hectic, but still fun.
