Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Fun Finds
I was instantly captivated by Kent Macdonald’s “A World between Worlds” – this series of photographs instantly evoked visions of a modern day, magical “Starry Night” (except in this version, one may climb into the sky and moon). When I lived in France, I remember driving back home with my roommate during a cool spring night and pulling over suddenly on the side of the road. We just realized how many stars we could see in the clear sky and how had to take a moment to relish in the beauty of those millions bright, balls of light. Ahh to do it again someday…
In the meantime, this lovely art series has me thinking of the beautiful bright world high above us.
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…celebrating a few birthdays. We will be eating out at a Filipino restaurant for one of the celebrations and that should be fun. We have Filipino food sometimes (lumpia shanghai aka fried spring rolls are a favorite and we have some in the freezer now!) But we will try out a place that is supposed to have excellent sinigang which is a sour, savory soup full of the brightness of tamarind (the sourness that is familiar in Thai food) and a few good chunks of pork or chicken. It should be tasty!
What are you doing this weekend?
Have a fabulous weekend!
