FFF/Fun Finds – Ben Heine Pencil vs. Camera and Get Togethers

October 11, 2013

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

Fun Finds

Have you heard of Ben Heine?  He is a multidisciplinary artist based in Belgium that works mainly in sketching and digital photography.  His series “Pencil vs. Camera” is an amazing combination of his photography combined with his illustrations.  His latest works have included self portraits where he becomes the real life model interacting with part of his previous drawings.  I love his unique art and loved exploring more pieces after visiting his website.  I hope he doesn’t mind that I wanted to show some of his works for illustrative purposes only.

Otherwise this weekend I am…

…going to a Marc Jacobs store opening today with a new friend here.  That should be fun and I’ll break out my favorite Marc Jacobs cuff.  I will also be catching up with a few good friends.  My friends from NY are visiting with their families and it will be great to catch up with them and have a few good meals together.  We are also seeing one of my husband’s good friends who has been pretty stressed out from work.  I’m thinking of whipping up a batch of oatmeal applesauce cookies for her and hope that they lift her spirits (and they are lower fat so she can indulge!)  I need to find more low fat dessert recipes.  Does anyone have other suggestions?

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Hi darling, you find the most exciting artists, his work is absolutely amazing, and beyond creative! Theres so much to it. The store opening sounds so fun, enjoy! For low fat desserts, try replacing some or all of the cream with low fat Greek yoghurt. You could also make a buttermilk pudding with fresh fruit. You are always so sweet to stop by…have a relaxing weekend!

Hello dear! You have an amazing weekend ahead! I’m loving the work of this artist you have featured! As far as low fat recipes are concerned, just a couple of dessert ideas: whipped low-fat greek yoghurt with caramelised red fruits on top of it (you can use a natural sweetener like stevia), or – only for cinnamon lovers – you can do the same with apples: bake them with just lots of cinnamon and a drop of lemon (they will release their natural sugar) and serve them with whipped low fat Greek yoghurt. It’s a blast! Hope you enjoy! (Pics from MJ pleaseeee) Love
