Animated illustrations are utterly charming, aren’t they? They aren’t exactly cartoons, but more than simple illustrations as well. Vlad Stankovic created a collection, “Piccalilli Moths”, which features sparkling moths moving along with other insects, mushrooms, and plants. The most interesting part is that his creations “were printed using lenticular printing, a technique where the image gives an illusion of depth and movement when viewed from different angles,”
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…celebrating Chinese New Year in Singapore. It’s definitely the biggest holiday of the year with 2 days off (3 for my children’s school!). We were planning on doing a small dinner with one of two friends which is luckily a potluck affair. Then my husband asked 11 of his colleagues to join us for another day as well. Oh my! So I’m now starting to wrap dumplings and make pineapple cakes 3 days prior to this big party. I’ll try to keep the menu simple so let’s see how it goes.

We celebrated CNY the weekend before. Chinatown has been unusually quiet ever since the news of the corona virus came out and all the celebrations have also been rather subdued.
