Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018 show
I grew up going to the Met linking it with ancient mummies and grand works of art. Ā So I love rediscovering it in a sartorial sense and seeing brands like Chanel host their shows there. Ā TheĀ Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018 show seemed to pay homage to famous museum sites as well with its heavy Egyptian references. Ā Chanel’s signature knits became a bit more fluid with floor skimming linen underskirts. Ā The shapes were a bit more sleeker and really interesting. Ā There were casual pieces as well ranging from golden pants to denim pieces (hmm a bit random) with just a nod to the ancient culture.

Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…involving the kids in their first charity event. Ā My husband I have said that we wanted the kids to learn to be more generous and empathetic. This is especially important during the holiday season since I don’t like the heavy commercial aspect. Ā I’m involved with a group that donates money and personal products to elderly, low-income individuals (many who don’t have family support which is significant, especially in Asia). Ā We are bringing the elderly folks for a day out by the gardens and will also distribute gifts to them. Ā I’m going to bring the kids to infuse a little youth, chaos, and smiles as well. I hope everyone has fun!
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
