A daring spirit lived on during Milan Fashion Week. My favorite collections still used beautiful prints similar to some beloved prints from London Fashion Week, but also continued to play around with beautiful silhouettes and colors. Etro and Prada paid a little homage to Japan with select prints and cuts (can you imagine wearing hand-painted clothing?!) I definitely want color and a daring print after seeing these collections!
Here are a few favorites from:
Gucci
The mood was full of oversized ruffles and bold colors paired together in clothing and accessories.
Styling consisted of bold eyes and otherwise minimal beauty, accentuated with neat hair.
I’d wear the look on a fabulous night out.
The mood was full of “frames” to frame the female silhouette.
Styling consisted of loose hair and statement heels to match the statement prints!
I’d wear the look to a summer soiree in Europe.
Etro
The mood was full of hand painted floral details.
Styling consisted of spring aka pink hued faces and two toned heels.
I’d wear the look while shopping in the French Riviera

I love the Cavalli looks most . . . the top left dress in his collection is incredibly beautiful. And the bottom right Etro (one-sleeved) dress? Amazing! I love how dramatic it is, and hand painted??? That is crazy!
That first Cavalli dress really is gorgeous! Yes the hand painted Etro dresses really are spectacular!
I am always obsessed with Roberto Cavalli – I’d wear it all!! 🙂
Love the Gucci looks, and the fact that most women could pull them off. Some of these heels are amazing, too 🙂
I usually hate Fashion Week recaps because they’re all the same. But what I love about yours is that you present it in a unique way which makes me love …… thank you
knock outs!
Awww Gucci and Cavalli, how I wish I could a hold of a few of the pieces from those stunning collections!
the gucci looks are my favorite! breathtaking!!!!!!!
and thank you so much for your sweet comment. i hope your friend is ok. i really do. life throws some mean curve balls at us, and sometimes it just doesn’t seem fair. hugs to you (and to your friend).
the gucci bold colors and sleeve details are too good.
Oooo if there is a dress I dream of owning it is from Cavalli next to an herve leger bandage dress! Etro always looks amazing, their use of colour and pattern mixing always impresses.
Loving so much about spring 13 and adore how the Italians put their own spin on it!
