Do you get enough “me” time?

“Me” time is definitely tough to obtain when one has a family.  I adore seeing my daughter’s dimpled smile and sharing stories with my husband at the end of a day.  We just came back from a lovely trip to Phuket with a good friend and it was just wonderful.  While it wasn’t my typical vacation and we mostly lounged at our pool (seriously we got upgraded and had our own pool) as well as the beach, I just loved eating Thai food with my loved ones and snuggling up with our little one (the only time we get to sleep together!)

I am so fortunate to have such cool people in my life.  But I am also grateful to have time for myself.  Sometimes I just need some time to do things that matter to me – maybe it’s time to blog or browse a few favorite photographs, but it’s time that is deeply appreciated. It certainly isn’t the same thing as being alone.  My life is enriched in so many ways by the company that I keep and my loved ones. Sometimes I just want to be left alone, sit back with a salty snack, and enjoy that elusive “me” time.  It certainly makes me appreciate my time with loved ones even more when I join them again.  I hope you get some time alone to do a few favorite things as well!
