Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Paint Splotch Embroidered Clothing by Olya Glagoleva and Lisa Smirnova
I would have loved to have been a painter. Ā Unfortunately, my painting skills are pretty basic so I wouldn’t actually sell any art, haha. Ā I would have also loved to have been a fashion designer. I love clothing and appreciate great design, shapes, and textures. Ā So I was fascinated byĀ theĀ Paint Splotch Embroidered Clothing by Olya Glagoleva and LisaĀ Smirnova. Their collection “Artist at Home”, tells the story where an artist’s home and studio are one. Ā Hence, her home and work clothing are fused as well. Ā The clothing are made from cashmere, hemp, and vintage towels. Ā Then, Lisa Smirnova spends up to 100 hours hand embroidering these pieces. Ā Thus, the clothing itself is also art!
These pieces are simply gorgeous!
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…taking it slow. Ā We have a long weekend and will see a few friends for a few meals. Ā Hopefully the kids will behave! Ā We also hope to get to the museum and see an exhibit we’ve been meaning to see for a while. Ā We’ll see and just try to keep it low key and of course have some great food.
What are you doing this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!

Oh wow, this collection is taking embroidery to the next level. and it’s beautiful. And talking about painting, I still draw stick figures so I have zero skills in art. LOL!

Wow! What a work of art. I too am envious of those who can paint and draw. I may have been blessed with copious creative talents but drawing isn’t one of them. I can shade though but that is the extent of it. These creations are simply breathtaking and I can’t imagine the amount of work involved to produce such pieces!
Hope you had a lovely weekend!
