Erté Art Deco Drawings
I love the romance, drama and beauty of the Art Deco period. I can imagine having my hair set in those beautiful finger curls and wearing a long, flowing gown in the roaring 1920s. I discovered these Erté Art Deco Drawings and his illustrations really capture the opulence and drama of the period. He lived in Paris, but was ethnically Russian and his art decor drawings are now on display at the Hermitage museum.

…going to San Francisco! Who’s around? It is my third trip there this year and I’m hoping to finally get to Lombard Street (the super curvy street), take the “Full House” photo with the gorgeous row of houses in the background, and get a closer view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We are also celebrating our anniversary (7 years!) and may try either cioppino or maybe just have a nice, seafood meal. We will have the little one in tow the whole trip so I’ll constantly be looking for child friendly activities and of course getting some baby sitting for the few nights we want a nice, peaceful meal. It should be a nice, leisurely trip. Please send along any food or activity suggestions as well!
