]Happy Fun, free Friday lovelies!
Met Gala 2019 decor
By now, you’ve likely seen pictures from this year’s Met Gala in all its “camp” glory. The “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme welcomed the truly wacky and wonderful outfits. This definition of camp focused on Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay that defines camp as “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.” So of course the theme itself would be over the top and opulent. I loved the focus on flaming flamingo pink and almost Alice in Wonderland proportions of fun, chic decor. Here are some favorite shots of the Met Gala 2019 decor.
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…hanging with my littlest guy. My husband and older one are unfortunately flying off for a funeral. But it will be tough for me to travel with my ankle in its current state so we will stay here. Life is really tough sometimes and I hope my husband’s family gets the support they need now.
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
I am not particularly fond of flamingos but love the pink & green color contrast (I like using this combo in makeup, too).
Sorry to hear about the passing. And, I hope you have a speedy recovery. <3
My condolences for your loss and I hope your ankle will recover soon. I didn’t even bother with MET Gala this year, the fashion were beyond ridiculous. I do love Henry STyles for bending the norms though.
Love the Alice in Wonderland vibes 🙂
Oh wow what stunning decor! i’ve seen lots of the outfits but not a lot of the location so thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear about the funeral, it’s always so sad. Hope your ankle heals up and you feel better soon!
