I love to save a few items in my shopping cart or the wishlist and go a little crazy during either their buy more, save more events (actually my favorite sale event of the year) and this Friends and Family sale.  I’ve been saving a lot of different things in my cart, but one of the items, or rather materials that most surprised me was chambray.  Chambray is very similar to denim in that it is a colored cloth with white weft or crosswise threads (so the blue and white coloring look similar).  But chambray is usually lighter weight and the alternation between the colored and white threads are more consistent than the one with denim which intersects less frequently with white threads.  Anyway, I always thought it was the same thing so I thought I’d share that little nugget of fashion information, hehe.

I find chambray to be the older, elegant sister of denim.  I love how flows in wide legged trousers or creates a clean, light silhouette in a top.  Denim in certain weaves is quite similar and it’s pretty fun to see modern versions of denim mimicking chambray.
