Are you afraid of failure?

All of us are afraid of failure in some way right?  Perhaps we are afraid of failing to live up to our own expectations and shy away from the spotlight.  Or we decide to take a stable, lackluster job because we are afraid of starting our own ventures.  Maybe we are afraid of someone else’s judgement so we don’t even take a first step into trying our hand at something new.

I loved Glamour Magazine’s list of women of the year because these are certainly not women that are afraid of failure.  They range from Caitlyn Jenner’s new role as a transgender champion to the women of Charleston, South Caroline promoting peace and gun control.  I also loved reading more about stories who just kept persevering with their passions. Misty Copeland kept dancing and appreciating her strong body giving a whole new definition of a prima ballerina to new generations and Victoria Beckham who humbly and simply presented her first collection not assuming that her celebrity status would make her a celebrated designer.  As Oprah said, we should all be unafraid to fail and know that failure can be a steppingstone to many great things as well.

So go forth boldly on your path to greatness!
