“All of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

What are some of your dreams?
I used to dream of being a singer or actress when I was a child. I was a member of various choirs throughout elementary and middle school and even performed once with my middle school choir in New Orleans! The last time I performed was in a variety show in college. Otherwise, I came to realize that while I enjoyed music and could sing and play the piano, I was no musical genius. I also didn’t have enough passion for it to drop out of school and pursue a budding music career.
My dreams now are a little simpler. I would love to transition to a different function in my career. I’ve been thinking about it for some time and dabbling in a different area. I may actually take the plunge soon with a startup. It is a little scary because I don’t have as much experience and would be building something new from scratch. I’m used to having resources at my fingertips (time, team members, best practices) but I’d have to do and learn a lot quickly. But I’m trying to take Walt’s words to heart and have a little courage. Sometimes dreams are far flung and harder to achieve (no, I will not be the next Taylor Swift), but sometimes with a little hard work and determination, they are within reach.
With that, I’m still not sure about the next steps, but I will at least have the courage to pursue them.
Have a lovely week!
I love coming across Walt’s quotes, theres something wonderful about them. I used to dream about being a music star, I was in numerous bands growing up but it never really progressed. I was my own worst enemy, I was too afraid to be heard – even now! I can’t sing in front of anyone, it has to be my worst fear. I clam right up and can’t get a word out lol. My dreams have changed to something I’m not too scared of being hearing (thankfully), though I am still a little apprehensive when people read what I write but that’s normal.

Walt Disney was such an interesting man huh? I love coming across his quotes too. It’s normal to be apprehensive about being judged by our words on the blog (I hold back a little, admittedly), but we bloggers start developing a thicker skin and hopefully still get to express ourselves right?
go for it! and best of luck!!! love the editorial, btw.
Thanks for the kind encouragement Elle! I’m definitely going in the startup direction and will update everyone if that happens!
A transition sounds exciting. I still have dreams of winning the lottery and getting to travel the world without a care 🙂

All of my dreams are attainable. I simply want to travel more and eventually meet someone to travel with. LOL I’ve seemed to conquer much harder things than travel and love. LOL That is so awesome that you came to New Orleans! It’s a small world. I didn’t know you sang! That is an awesome talent to have. I think you will do marvelous in your endeavor.
