What dances do you like?
I’m not much of a dancer myself. My husband is actually a pretty great salsa dancer (such a surprise to those who don’t know him!) He tried to get me to dance salsa in NY and Asia but I was just never good at dancing in time with the beat. I’m fine though doing a little freestyle or hip-hop and can still rock out to a good classic hip-hop song since I am of course a product of a NYC upbringing (side-note did anyone see Montell Jordan perform at the halftime during the NBA playoffs – he still sounds great!) I also used to love to do a slow little living room dance with my husband and now daughter in the living room.
This editorial depicting a beautiful series of dance moves by Karen Elson and Christopher Niquet reminds me of how much I miss dancing. I love letting go and letting a song totally surround me (sometimes I may even just remember the song and not even be listening to it). But I suppose I have just gotten caught up in the hustle and bustle of life post-baby. I don’t want to forget to rock out when I need to rock out. I’ll have to remind the husband to put on a good song and reinstate our living room dances.
Have a lovely week!
love karen! not much of a dancer but love watching others!vtook ballroom once!
I am a terrible dancer…giggle but I love this editorial:) My Balazs is a wonderful dancer and he loves to dance. Happy Monday, sweetie.
Wonderful pictures indeed!
Reminds me so much of Fred Astaire’s movies.
I dance some greek folks and a little bit of salsa 🙂
I’m also not a great dancer, though I love watching dance performances. Maybe I’ll try to start an at-home dance night with my husband once in a while!
Yes! I adore them all. I never danced ballroom, but have always loved to watch.
I saw another set of ballet poses in the streets and thought of you! Have you considered dancing ballroom? I bet you would pull off a mean fox trot or waltz!
Such art, beauty, and elegance in these photos. I love dancing, we used to do it often but now, too busy. But, we have a wedding to attend soon, so hopefully more dancing there.

What a dreamy set of photos. I feel like I’ve been transported into some fancy, 1920s ballroom dancing dream sequence. The styled and photography are all so on point.

Mili – my sentiments exactly! This Vogue photoshoot brings me to a classic black and white movie with beautiful ballroom dancing. The photography and styling are gorgeous right?
