Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Fun Finds
I’m making simple paper flowers for my daughter’s party so it’s natural that I have paper art on my mind. Then I saw these complex paper art cutouts and was blown away. Jen Stark creates visualizations of paper explosives, kaleidoscopes, and other crazy patterns. I love the different colors and it reminds me of tie dye patterns come to life.
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…celebrating my little girl’s first birthday! Her party is a little late, but we’ve been traveling and I wanted to get some things from my parents in NY. My mom seriously brought a whole cake stand (I didn’t know she was going to do that!) when I was only looking for some dried blueberries! The menu includes a few dozen chicken gyoza (luck), rice noodles (long life), air fried chicken, otah (fish cake popular in SE Asia), and lumpia (Filipino spring rolls). I’m still rolling lumpia as we speak but I’m sure everything will be tasty. Please remind me to cater more of these items for parties next time!
What are you doing this weekend?
Have a fabulous weekend!
These are so cool, amazing colours :)) Ahhh…Happy 1st birthday to your sweet girl…I hope she has a marvellous time at her party..they barely notice any ways if it’s late. They just want to dig in the cake, haha :)) It’ll be so much fun!! Have a wonderful time my dear xx
Kizzy, thanks for the well wishes. My little girl was disappointingly uninterested in smashing her cake. At least we get to eat the remains!
these are stellar! thanks for sharing them with us.
Happy Birthday to your little lady!

Happy birthday to your little one! Your menu sounds delicious, and I hope you have a great time celebrating. Those paper cutouts are totally amazing!
Thanks Heather! I made enough food for probably 80 people. At least we had fun making it and I hope she had a good celebration!
Those are amazing! Hope your little girl has a wonderful birthday 🙂
Thank you dear! I hope our little one had a wonderful birthday too (at least the adults had fun!)

Thank you Kim! It was crazy, but we all had a good time at the little one’s party. Her daddy chose the crown headband (so cheesy but he insisted on it!)
