Let’s talk about sleep today, Monday, our favorite day of the week (ha!)
Do you get enough sleep?
I most certainly do not. I know this because I immediately fall asleep after my head hits the pillow most nights. While I technically get a decent amount of hours of sleep (around 7), I wake up early since my little lady is an early riser though we are lucky because she is content to lay in bed and babble to herself. This past weekend, none of us got a lot of sleep. She had her first major fever and was miserable and wailing half the night for two nights. Luckily, she is better now. I just remember that my head literally felt like it was going to explode yesterday afternoon from lack of sleep. I don’t understand how parents of finicky sleepers do it. I just want to recharge and for my family to be in good health. We will be traveling in a few days so we need it!
Remember to indulge in the simple pleasure of getting enough sleep friends!
Have a lovely week!
Nooooo…I haven’t slept great since my first child was born, haha!! I wish I could but, there is always something and the youngest has been going through the grumpy stage, so getting her to sleep is a struggle. I feel like throwing things most days, haha. I just want to sleep, but we’re parents now, so its not always so easy!! I hope your little girl feels much better soon 🙂 xx
Kizzy, you said it! It’s so hard getting sleep as a parent and my little girl actually sleeps pretty well (the early riser thing though…) Thanks for the well wishes on her recovery. She’s grouchy but at least she’s eating a little and not feverish.
love the editorial ! and no, i’ve not been sleeping either!
Sorry to hear your little lady wasn’t well but it’s good that she’s better. I think once you have children, they dictate the amount of sleep you’ll get. That’s what most of friends seem to say anyway. I like 8 hours most nights if I can get it.

For some reason, I always love the Elle Mexico spreads!
So on sleep – I haven’t slept through the night in the last 90 days. I feel like someone is always sick!
Poor lady! It’s terrible if one of both kids are sick. I totally get that now and am not looking forward to the illnesses to come (especially when she is around more kids and not just a few family members!)
I hope she feels better soon! I can only imagine. Have a safe and lovely trip my friend.

I try to get enough sleep, and since I don’t have kids yet, I usually do. I know that will all change, though, once I add a little one to the mix!
