Local artisan spotlights via Of a Kind for Target

Do you have a favorite store in your area?

I love to drop by the Brooklyn Flea when I have a chance.  I discovered some sellers with the coolest handmade goods like a few favorite amethyst glazed mugs.  I also love jewelry from Singaporean based Carrie K who creates such edgy, but elegant pieces (I have the infinity cuff!)  There is something special about getting to touch and feel a handmade product. So I thought it was really cool that Target teamed up with the website Of a Kind to celebrate local artisans.  350 Target stores (map here) will be carrying home decor pieces from a few smaller designers.  Pieces range from colorful animal bookends to nautical soap dishes.  It’s great that these artisans get such a large spotlight on their wares by having a retailer like Target partner with them.
