“Drama is life with the dull bits cut out.”
What were the last dramatic moments in your life?
As a new mom, I am surrounded by mini dramas constantly revolving around my little one and the challenges of balancing a new way of life with her. But of course drama should be expected from a little person just learning about a world that is new to her and unable to truly express her desires and frustrations to these people that constantly surround her.
Otherwise I’m trying to limit the dramatic moments here. I found that I was surrounded by a lot more drama in previous years and they stemmed from being associated with dramatic people. I’m perfectly happy now with a calmer pace of life filled with fewer frenetic moments (not that they’re gone of course, they are just taking on a different focus!) Life certainly isn’t dull and I’ll just take the drama as it comes!
Have a lovely week!
Yes, little to no drama is best. Glad to hear that you are in a calmer and happy place. The graphic printed jacket is my favourite in thie editorial. 🙂
Autumn Layers
Madison, I love the graphic printed jacket as well! You said it right – little to no drama is best!
I also used to have more drama in my life due to others, but have learned to do a better job of cutting negative influences from my life. The past couple months of home-buying have been very dramatic for us in both fun and stressful ways, but I’m doing my best to focus on the fun.
Heather, I’m with you and limit exposure to people or things that have a negative influence on me. I can imagine all the drama from buying a new home, but it must be such an exciting kind of drama! Definitely focus on the fun!
Yes, I think the only drama you should have in your life is the kind a new child creates. That other stuff just isn’t necessary. 🙂 And now, of course, I need a sleeveless coat in my life.
Cheryl, so true! I’m fine with the baby drama and no more! I love a good sleeveless coat too – it’s like a vest and coat got together and created something cool, haha.
I honestly can’t remember the last dramatic moment in my life. I’m quite perfectly happy with a life without drama. I think some of the drama I previously experienced was also from associating with dramatic people.
Hope your week is off to a fantastic start!
I’m with you Rowena and am perfectly happy without (too much) drama in my life. I hope your life is off to a good start too!
I have had a number of dramatic moments in my life! HaHaHa I definitely understand what you mean. Unfortunately I’ve had to delete some people that were toxic for me. I feel much better now. But situations always arise. Children are a blessing but it can be so challenging. I think you’re doing well. Hang in there. I’m finally home. Yaaaay!

I’m bummed to hear about the dramatic moments in your life but good for you for deleting toxic people from your life. It’s so good to hear that you’re home. I’ll be emailing you soon!
Gosh. That last paragraph…so well said. My life is calmer save for the toddler princess drama and I am ok with that. In fact, I’d rather it vs the old drama. At least I can solve all that with a cookie?!
Oh gosh congratulations on the arrival of your little one, I’m delighted for you and hope you are having a wonderful time getting to know your new arrival. Totally agree with you on the drama – I’d take quiet contentment over a rollercoaster of a life any day x
Thank you Emma! The little one has been quite a joy and life is quite different now! I’ve been reading, but haven’t been able to comment on your blog because I couldn’t figure out how to switch my google id. I will take less drama in my life as well though now I have drama of a different sort!
p.s. the L’oreal Eva red is gorgeous on you!
