The new Marimekko Collection for Banana Republic certainly evoke fun, sunny days. Ā The famous Finnish design house has created a few new designs for Banana Republic for the summer. Ā The Kivet print with its medium and oversized classic polka dots may be calling my name. Ā The Kivet print pants would effortlessly go from air conditioned offices to al fresco summer soirees.

I have to say… I like Marimekko as textiles, but am not sure their designs would be something I would typically wear. Of course there is always an exception to the rule as I do like the shorts!

The Kivet print definitely captures “Banana Republic” style. It looks like a lovely collection, I noticed several American brands–partnering with Scandinavian designers and collaborating more. Marimekko designed well for them. š
