“Youth is happy because it has the capacity to see beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.”
— Franz Kafka
What are the beautiful things in your life?
I was with a friend’s daughter the other night and it was just heartwarming to see her wonder and laugh at the simple things – an extra piece of cheese, an extra hug from us, and the joyful energy in pop tunes. She really saw such happiness and beauty in so many things.
It reminded to see beauty all around me as well. I have lovely items like my sparkling long necklaces, bright dresses with puffy layers of floral fabric, and an array of colorful beauty products. But I also try to see beauty in my surroundings whether it is the pop of color on an older home or a pretty pleat on a juicy dumpling. Hopefully seeing beauty all around me will also keep me happy and youthful.
Have a lovely week!
I think if anyone wants a happier life, is to see the beauty in all things as much as possible. It really does help. I like little things like sunrises, cookies and a mass of other things, but it helps me to forget the things that get us down!! I hope you have a beautiful week doll 🙂 xx
that is a great quote – and a nice reminder you had to take a moment to see all the beauty in the world.
“so much beauty it could make you cry”

Thank you for the reminder as well Lydia. We all need to stop and take a moment to see the beautiful things around us!
There really is so much beauty — especially when taking a fresh look at your surroundings. For me, that is one of the greatest things about parenthood— it makes everything new again!
I am convinced that the child like side is where all creative impulses come from 🙂
