A couch is just a couch right? Not if it’s a settee – a small to medium sized couch/sofa with arms and a back.
This was the initial inspiration. It’s basically a loveseat, but the right size and style can deliver a big impact in a room. Our current living room is a bit more modern, but how I’d love a settee for a sitting room or sunroom. Someday that second settee will be mine and it will be glorious.
Here are my picks if you want…
…styling, small, and not so simple
Louisa settee, Anthropologie, $2,498
…vintage French chic
Versailles bedroom sofa, The French bedroom company, £840
…modern and clean
Suffolk settee, Crate & Barrel, $999.99
…glamorous and understated
…minimalist and bold
Dromerdy Loveseat, John Derian, $2,625
…a settee for your toys!
Barbie Victorian style settee, Etsy, $50

Ohmigosh I seriously NEED the Versailles Bedroom Sofa. Is it just me or can you totally picture Marie Antoinette sprawled out on it? LOVE!! 🙂
My eye instantly goes towards the modern-chic beige ones…is that horrible? Everyone always tells me I need a splash of color-i’m all about greys, blacks, browns, beiges….
I love the vintage French chic one, it;s the perfect combo of comfy and chic!
Gorgeous! I love all of them. I have wanted a settee ever since I was a little girl and used to play dress-up in my aunt’s bedroom. She’s 87 now, but was the kind of lady who wore fur and diamonds to the grocery store. She had a gorgeous pink settee that I can’t get out of my head. Great round-up!
I like the blue one!

The Versaille sofa is so pretty. I love them all! Seeing this post makes me realize we need new furniture.
very cool couches indeed.:) when we moved to Sydney we chose a furnished apartment so everything in it isn’t exacly our taste, not that i know what that is yet. i guess sorting it out is part of the fun!
I want to drown in that anthro sofa. so stunning.
