I mostly live in flats or some form of Fit Flops during warmer weather (the most comfortable shoe ever though not the cutest). I walk a lot, especially when I’m in London, so my shoes have to be pretty comfortable. I’m always on the search for more flats, especially easy to wear and of course fashionable ones.
One option is Lanvin’s classic ballet flats (in patent leather below). There is a leather insole with hidden inner wedge at heel – gotta love a tiny bit of height.
Found here for $515
The price is a bit steep though it may occasionally go on sale at Barneys or Saks. Even at half the price, it isn’t cheap. It is a pretty classic shoe though and one that would go with a ton of things.
Lanvin ballet flats – worth it?
I’m going to have to say “yes” to the flats. I recently started paying more attention to my foot health after a solid four years of navigating the streets of San Francisco in 3″+ heels. Now I commute to and from work and around town in flats. I’ve worn my cheap-o pair to the ground, and would definitely appreciate a good-quality pair like those Lanvins.
ouch, gorgeous really gorgeous but the price hurts!!
have you ever tried French Sole? 🙂
Sigh. Why, do they have to be soooo pricey!!??? Sometimes quality is worth it though. Go for it!!
p.s. still saving up to buy my first pair of louboutins
I say no.
aaah i like them a lot but i bet you could find something similar for cheaper? hmmm.
xo tiffany
well, i imagine you could probably find something comfortable for less. but, if you find a really good sale maybe worth it?
hmm. too pricey for me but if on sale, then considerable. would you be wearing these daily or sparingly so you can keep them for years to come? i’m a flats girl, too, and always wear mine down too quickly that i don’t like spending too much on them. i do like the hidden wedge aspect and am a huge fan of nike air. you also must try the cole haan maria sharapova ballet flats 🙂
I LOVE them!!! I’d say yes but like I’ve told u before, I’m a spendthrift so you probably shouldn’t listen to me 😉
The Alternative Wife + 1. 😉
I’d buy them in a flash, especially if I found them on sale. Not only do designer shoes look fantastic, your feet and your back will thank you too.
Those flats are really cute and I like that they have some height. They’re just a little too rich for my blood.
typically, i’d say no, but flats hurt my feet so i may have a negative association with them. however, if you love them, and you think you’ll wear them forevers, buy them asap. i really like the idea of a hidden wedge heel! why can’t all shoes have those?
V pricey but still want them.
Clearly worth it! 🙂 I love flats and with the little wedge inside the sole – it is perfect 🙂
