October seems to be dominated by that little ‘ol holiday at the end of the month. Everything is coming up orange and black! I’m slowly getting into it and am drawn towards a few more costumes elements. I love ruffles and pleats – it’s all about good draping! The tiers in both the After Hours Dress and the Tiered Sleeve Top are lovely. I can’t resist a little touch of gold from the metallic accents in these versatile looking Tom flats to this gold flatware (comes in black too!) Finally I’ve been thinking about getting a really good brush and have heard about Mason Pearson for years – is it worth it?

FASHION TALES
I have had more than one hairdresser tell me that a Mason Pearson hairbrush is a worthwhile investment and i’d probably get one if I weren’t so lazy about brushing my hair LOL
I have a Mason Pearson brush that I received several christmas’ ago. If your hair is normal to thin, definitely get the MIX bristles. I purchased the boar bristle brush for my mom and it is a lot harder. Definitely not for sensitive scalps. It worked for her because she has thick hair.

Thank you, I will look for a mixed bristle brush then!
