As I mentioned here, my love for Chanel is definitely due in large part to their flawless (and sometimes fanciful) execution of the classic tweed jacket. Β While I think a lovely Chanel tweed jacket is worth the cost, the reality is that it will take a while to save (or be willing to spend) for one! Β The good news is that there are many options for tweed outerwear ranging from the classic jacket to modern cardigans.
I love contrast trims…
MM Couture Miss Me gray jacket, Revolve Clothing, $114
Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic tweed jacket, Revolve Clothing, $349
BB Dakota Herringford tweed jacket, Revolve Clothing, $110
Rebecca Taylor sparkle tweed jacket, Revolve Clothing, $395
Contrast Sweater jacket, White House Black Market, $118
Β
…but a solitary color blend is also great
Tweed peacoat, Gap, $29.99 (on sale soΒ unfortunately most sizes sold out!)
Tweed cardigan, Ann Taylor, $59.99
Juicy Couture Metallic tweed Jemma jacket, Shopbop, $398
Β
…as is a jacket with an extra touch of embellishment (the collar is amazing though I wish the jacket came in another color)
Galleria Addie jacket, Kate Spade, $179
Β
Do you have any favorite tweed jackets?
Most of them are a bit too preppy for my style, but I love the one on the top right! One of my friends at work today had on a great tweed jacket that would fit right in with this bunch, and when I complimented her on it, she said, “I call it my Coco Chanel jacket!” haha.
p.s. I have chili in my le creuset crockpot right now–it is literally almost constantly in use! Thank you so much!
I rather like the one on the top right that the stick from The City is wearing. It’s lovely!
Tweed coats are certainly staples. I like the one from GAP. Very versatile piece of clothing.
@Carrie @Claire Kiefer – the gold MBMJ is my fave too! Ooh and Claire, save some chili for me!
thanks for sweet comment:)i hope you continue to follow me, these jacket are so pretty:)love them!

Loving these, especially the Marc by Marc Jacobs one! So stylish and glam. XX
Wishing one day for the original Chanel, but here I adore the Juicy Couture version! Have a fab day!

I love the jacket on the top right, and the contrast sweater from White House/Black Market (one of my favorite stores). Great round-up!
Great examples of Chanel alternatives!! And we all need them because there aren’t enough pennies in my piggy bank!!
I really like the 2nd to left tweed jacket! I just bought 1 from zara last week and I am just in love with tweed
so so so chic & ellegant π LOVE IT!!!!
the marc by MJ one is my fave…so cute. love the tie bow.
i love these too! the problem I have though is that, physically, my best attribute is my waist. my least favorite physical attribute is my hips. So, you can imagine that a boxy jacket just makes me look big all around. So, i’m still in the search for the one that fits just right.
Tweed is such a classic material and I do really love tweed jackets, but I find them a bit too preppy for my style. Any tips on how to make them more edgy?
Omg this is so my style- adore every single piece! You have the best taste lovey! I am always so intrigued by every post π
Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket is the popular choice here … but I do like others as well only if they were in different color π
i actually kind of have a jacket that looks very similar to these. that second jacket is truly awesome! i would wear that every week!
Yes please, I’d love any of these!
Oh how I adore that Gap jacket and that price!
But, alas, they do not have my size. Oh sadz.
I love the Tweed Peacoat from Gap. It’s so affordable.
Write it in lipstick
Oh my goodness, that Marc Jacobs is calling my name! π
so chic π xoxo
I have been thinking tweed ever since your last post….I just bought these little loafers that I now see with tweed!
great finds! i love the marc by marc jacobs the most!
Chic on the Cheap
Love the post! You know I am a huge fan of wardrobe staples π And the tweed jacket is definitely one of them. I love the rebecca taylor one! I am currently looking for a black one with leather pockets. I saw one at Barneys the other day but I am sure it’s out of my price range ;(
marc jacobs is my fave!
tweed is so fun! i have one tweed jacket, and it’s quite old. i might have to add a new one (with contrast trims) to my wardrobe.
happy friday!
Love all these jackets!
Cool blog!
Follow me? I’ll be very happy if you do it!
Thank you so much!

I’m loving the Marc by Marc Jacobs one!
I don’t own a tweed jacket yet… I will soon:))
@MizzJ – sure tweed can definitely be more edgy! Look for modern cuts and colors (like the MBMJ one) and pair with an asymmetrical shirt or skirt with fun accessories!
Most definitely a staple for any wardrobe.
