Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Real life version of “Up”
I love the movie “Up” and admit to crying a little every time I’ve watched it. It’s just such a sweet movie of keeping promises and unexpectedly finding family. The movie’s protagonists traveled to their exotic locale by flying away in Carl’s house via hundreds of balloons. National Geographic re-created this in real life with 300 balloons! I didn’t think this was possible. But doesn’t seeing this make you smile just a little?
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…making the usual rounds of taking the little lady to her classes and then dropping by a birthday party. But I’m also going to slowly make my way back to the gym. I’m swimming a little bit more (difficult since the little lady always wants to join me/play). It’s been ages though since I’ve gone to the gym and I am just feeling bleh. I used to be so great about going, but just slipped. So I’ve vowed to do a bit more at the gym in our complex and eventually join the larger one in the mall. But this weekend, I’ll just start off with some light weights and try to make it a regular thing. Wish me luck!
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
My husband and I were both teary in the theatre the first time we watched Up and because of one part we can’t bring ourselves to watch it anymore. This is really cool! It totally looks like the Up house and definitely put a smile on my face just now 🙂
Oh my goodness how amazing! Why did they recreate it, just to see if they could? Also, I’m currently in the emergency room with my mum on holiday in Croatia (whoops) and was like OMG LOOK AT THIS HOW AMAZING whilst we are queuing for medication lol. That’s crazy though.
Also, good that you’re trying to swim and everything more – expected that they would try and join you though haha!

I love that they made the house from UP 🙂

Those damn emotional pixar movies.
Still, the real life house is amazing!
Chic on the Cheap
This is so awesome! UP is my very favorite pixar movie. The up house is located in seattle and we went to see it a few years ago. It’s still there stuck between a bunch of high rises!
That is SO cool! I didn’t realize the Up house is in Seattle and would have visited it had I known!
