Baby it’s cold outside. Oh yes and it is also rainy here in Londontown. Yep, it’s the oh-rather-stay-in-turn-up-the heat-and-drink-soup kinda weather.
That’s why I’m ECSTATIC to be escaping to two warm countries. I think Manila will be particularly fun because it will be my first time there. I can’t wait to bask in the sun, explore the sites, and have lots of icy treats (Mr. Gadget tells me halo-halo is yummm). Of course there’s the excitement of meeting a few of Mr. Gadget’s relatives for the first time. Like me because I bring you English chocolates!!!
Dear Monica of Ciao Chessa posted about having a favorite place or image that you can turn to for a mental escape. I think this may be my new image.
omg that first photo looks like sheer heaven.
Wow, I love that indoor garden! My fiance has a green thumb, so maybe we will have one once we finally move in together. Currently, my relaxation spot is my bed. I don’t have a ton of space in my SF apartment, but I make it work 🙂
I’ve never been to Manila or Taipei, so no advice for you there. Hopefully some other commenters will!
I need a good place to relax. I don’t really have one right now. I guess my place of relaxation is my bed. I can lie there and listen to music.
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I hope you will continue to check out my Christmas posts.
Once the holiday season is over, I’ll be back to my normal postings. These here should still be fun. Cheers!
I’m so jealous! I’d love a warm getaway right about now!
I will take one of those delish desserts and eat it in the location in that pic…that would be a perfect day for me 😉
Cannot wait to see pics of Manila – how exciting doll!
XOXO

I absolutely agree about creating space. One of things I’m trying to do is make my tiny studio a place I want to call home. It’s hard to cozy it up though. 🙂
it’s raining here in nyc too. awful awful. and i’m not escaping ANYWHERE… 🙂
I find coffee shops relaxing – there’s something very charming and laid-back about them that I can’t resist! 🙂
NY actually reminds me of London today. cold and rainy…yuck! glad u have the escape planned 🙂 when do u go?
oh and that dessert looks amazing!
that colorful dessert treat is mesmerizing! looks oh so delightful. almost too pretty to eat.
That dessert is so delish lookin’! My favorite place to relax is at my aesthetician’s home where I get my monthly facial and massages. Though lately they’ve been more like every other month with my budget and trying to save for the wedding. But other than that, I relax by hanging on my sofa at home in front of the fire place and veggin’ out with a book or tv show. 🙂 How exciting for your little getaway!
the plant pic is great, but I’m so bad with plants, for some reason I always knock them over., haha so accident prone -_-
I do hope that JoJo gets back at it because I really liked her! Maybe she can end this Hannah Montanna phase, then she will be my hero!!
what a fabulous trip! I’ve never been but I can’t wait to hear all about it.
To answer your question from earlier today..it was miserable and rainy all morning here but the sun broke through!! 🙂
MANILA? OH I ENVY YOU! THATS GOING TO BE AN AMAZING TIME….AND I’D REALLY LIKE TO EAT THAT ICE CREAM RIGHT NOW LOL
Wow long flight…but i’m sure you’ll enjoy your trip for lovelier temperature & humidity! Love that sun room too ~I would wear a batik sarong & laze around…
xo*
Yay! What fun that will be! My favorite escape at home is a latte and a fashion mag.
Halo-halo is a must… you have to taste that and a lot of other Filipino delicacies. If you’re going to Cebu, then they have fabulous beaches there too. Go to Plantation Bay in Cebu.
I hope you go to Boracay. That is where the best beaches in the Philippines are… white powdery sand, great food.
Must see in Manila: there are a lot of places to go to in Manila… Fort Santiago, Luneta. These are all historical places. For malls, visit SM because that’s where you’ll find a lot of bargain buys.
