The more you can create that magic bubble, that suspension of disbelief, for a while, the better.

I miss seeing the world through the eyes of a child.
Children see the world with such excitement and wonder. It would be an amazing site to see animals talking on a screen one minute and then a beautiful vista on the same screen another minute. A magical little rectangle could fit into a child’s hand and it could take pictures, bring up movies, and enable little birds to be flung far and wide. A bouquet isn’t just a bunch of flowers, but a beautiful array of colors and smells.
As I get older, I get more disenchanted. I take things for granted and want more. Why aren’t the special effects grand enough? Why isn’t the game loading quickly enough? Why aren’t the flowers more richly hued?
Every once in a while I have to step back into that bubble and put on the eyes that I once had. I live in a pretty amazing time where the world is at my fingertips and I can connect virtually with new friends. I suppose this blog is a bubble too but a pretty cool one so I’ll sit back and enjoy!
Have a lovely week!
These pictures are really cool. It’s easy to lose sight. That’s why I love blogging too. It’s my little outlet.
the photos are just excellent. what a cool editorial.
This is wonderful. I miss being a child too, I try to keep that feeling of seeing things as a child would, it’s a bit easier now that I have children myself. But, they enjoy things in a much different way & it’s good to zone in on that. Hope you have a wonderful week doll xx

Another fascinating editorial! I love watching my friends’ children experience new sights, sounds and colors. We should definitely strive for that level of wonder, especially when we are growing disillusioned with our situations and circumstances.
Beautiful post. Children just see things plain and simple, for what they are without over analysing like we do sometimes as adults. I’ve learnt to enjoy the pleasures in simplicity these days. Love the first image!
you are so right. i love being with my kids when we discover new things. the way they see things is so much more enchanting and innocent, to be honest. we sometimes forget that when we are old and jaded.
hope you had a great weekend! these pictures were a magical stop for me today. xox P
phiphi’s blog
reminds me of the bubble chair i want ~ but good point how life get’s less enchanting as we get older ~ time to rethink our way of thinking
oooh, i love these!
Hi dear, thanks for your style insight today 🙂 I like the concept of this editorial, figurative and interesting, I agree on growing older and become more disillusioned, it would be nice to rewind back a decade a two
What an awesome photo editorial. It’s so true, we do get disenchanted as we get older. If only we can regain that childhood wonder for all of lives moments. xo
I totally agree with you! As we get older, we see more, the more we see the more impressed we become and thus the bar gets set higher and higher.
So true! As the bar gets set higher, we aren’t satisfied until we have more and more.
By the way, I don’t remember if I said it before but happy belated birthday friend!
Fascinating! Love your insight my friend!
very cute photos… and a great message as well! i have to say… i miss seeing the world thru the eyes of a child too!! 🙁 it was good while it lasted lol
