Transport of the mails, transport of the human voice, transport of flickering pictures-in this century as in others our highest accomplishments still have the single aim of bringing men together.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Planes, trains, and automobiles – they all serve to get us somewhere much more quickly than our own two feet could ever take us (hmm how long would it take for me to walk and swim from NYC to Singapore? I shudder to think about it!) Planes have been my transportation mode of choice/necessity as I traverse the globe. While I never look forward to almost 30 hours of travel (3 flights out of 3 were delayed or cancelled!), I always look forward to what lies ahead at the destination. I was able to dish gossip with an old friend, visit new members of my friend’s families, and witness a beautiful and heartfelt wedding in Mexico.
As we have gotten older, we have all progressed along the paths of our own lives and taken on new roles. I am happy that my loved ones are now only an email or Skype/FaceTime/Google Hangout away, but nothing beats seeing them in person. I love going back home and seeing them so we can all learn a bit more about each other’s new lives while remembering to incorporate those who made our lives so special. Get on your transportation vehicle of choice and see/hear/experience a wonderful new memory with some very special people!
Have a lovely week!
Love that first picture, stunning. I prefer seeing people in person as to email, but it’s nice to know when I can’t the email is just there!! Hope you have a great week doll xx

Sounds like a beautiful weekend, you’re right, seeing people in person is far more rewarding! Love the dresses in this photo shoot.
I can’t wait to hear more about your adventures in Mexico. Traveling to India this Christmas will be my first experience with a 24-hour+ flight and I have to say that I’m nervous. I’d love a post from you about staying sane on the plane. Gorgeous photos, as usual, and there are few things better in life than spending quality time with family and friends.
Kim, sure I was thinking about writing a few travel posts and can definitely write one about staying sane on the plane then!
Lovely images! (:
I am kinda wary of emailing. Make me very lazy. Meeting people is any day better! (:

that sounds like a long and annoying travel day. but we do what we must, and it’s worth it to see friends, family, and beautiful new places.
While I traditionally stay away from florals – this editorial is captivating. I love the first image!
I’m definitely not a huge fan of flights, but it’s worth it to get to see my family members and friends in person! I’ve done so many cross-country flights this year that I am SO used to it by now. Great inspiration! I love that black and green dress.
Love the first pictures!!!

i agree with your sentiments. also embrace delays! it may save you from something horrible. i use to love flying! it’s still my 1st choice, but i wish that it could be more pleasant. it’s important to get out and see the world. i LOVE this editorial. so cute!
The actual act of travelling can be an adventure in itself. I would love to be as stylish as the ladies in that first photo when I travel 🙂

You have killed it with this post! I absolutely love everything – from the photographs {especially the first one} to the quote, and the description of your travel adventures. I think you’ve given me a case of wanderlust! 😛
I don’t know what to say because I’m so lucky to have my dear ones relatively near.
