“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
What is your favorite day of the year?
Is it your birthday? Your anniversary? Christmas?
I’m not exactly sure what my favorite day of the year, but I love Mr. Emerson’s perspective – why not let every day be the best day of the year? It boils down to the idea that every day is full of limitless potential. Perhaps you may wake up to an overcast sky laden with heavy clouds, but those clouds may make way for beautiful blue skies later (and if not, the opportunity to watch a long forgotten favorite movie). Maybe you were a little down yesterday, but today is a new day and a new beginning. As my husband says, we can’t worry too much about the past or the future, but focus on what is before us today. I’m certainly going to try to take this view to heart this year and try to make every day not only a good day, but the best day.
Have a lovely week!
I love it!! Happy New Year doll, I hope it’s a fantastic one for you. And I agree, let every day be the best day…life would be so much happier that way 🙂 xx
I love your attitude Kizzy – every day should be the best day and we would all be happier!
I love that yellow skirt, and the first outfit with the black and white shoes are amazing. I think New Year’s Eve and Christmas are one of my favourite days of the year. Happy New Year! /Madison

NYE and Christmas are definitely among my favorite years, but nice and quiet in our house. Let’s see how long it stays that way when the little lady gets a little older!
That’s a wonderful perspective! Here’s to every day being the best day. We can make it happen 🙂
Oh that second dress is everything! Can I call that a dress? And I love the skirt at the bottom too. And yes, don’t worry about the past…just the present. Happy week, luv!
You said it Cheryl – seriously aqua colored tulle is just too cool! Happy week to you too dear!
I have to say it’s New Year’s Day and Christmas Day…they are nice and low key and just our small family. Now I have to wait a whole ‘nother year. Man!
I enjoyed Christmas and New Year with our teeny little family too. Ahh until next Christmas and until the family gets bigger!

That quote is fantastic! After all, we only have today 🙂
Well said Ashley, we only have today so enjoy it right?
Nice fun photographs.
Thanks for posting them.
Christmas is my fave, but I love the idea of viewing every day from that perspective!
