Whose style do you admire?
Solange Knowles has been one of my new style icons. She’s cool just because she’s cool. It doesn’t matter that she has a famous sister. She is comfortable in her own skin and can creatively do anything from deejay to model for Madewell occasionally. She isn’t afraid to rock a bold pattern in a coat or a sleek low cut jumpsuit – I could definitely identify with some of her style choices!
I just saw her wedding pictures on Vogue and her style is true to form – sleek, unfussy, and fun. I could never imagine her in an ordinary ball gown and she didn’t disappoint with a modern, slinky Humberto Leon for Kenzo bespoke creation. Even her wedding pictures are unique and more typical of a high fashion magazine spread than a typical bridal shoot. Not every moment has to be a glamorous moment, but it is a nice reminder that it is great to be your most stylish self. People will always be looking at what we wear so we should make it worth their while!

Her wedding was here in New Orleans. Did you see the bicycle pics? I love that she has her own unique style. It’s not mine, but that’s ok. That’s what makes us all different. He’s 23 years older. I hope it works out.
