How does music play a role in your life?

I was struck by this quote and how it depicts the versatility of music – it can bridge, express, and set the tone for so many aspects of ourselves and our moods. Ā There is a calm that comes with a beautiful waltz and sometimes a sense of sadness as well (I’m thinking of one of the key pieces in “Swan Lake” which is beautiful and tragic as well). Ā It can also incite feelings of excitement and a desire to dance;Ā a new favorite for us is “Cake by the Ocean” with Joe Jonas because the little one loves to shake her booty to that beat. Ā Sensuality and music can also be paired together quite easily. Ā This editorial with Nicole Kidman certainly depicts a beautiful, gritty, retro feel for sensuality. Ā Even sensuality in music can be expressed through different ways – it can be more upbeat with a fast tempo or slower and more relaxed. Ā Regardless, I know music will always be part of my life even if “Old MacDonald had a farm” is one of my more listed to pieces these days!

Have a lovely week!

Music is huge for me as it was great distraction when I was ill, helping to keep my mind occupied with other things. I almost always have my headphones on when walking down the street in NYC so people won’t try to talk to me. You know how it goes.

I love it! Don’t know if it’s the black and white, but Nicole looks really really young here. Like back in the day when she was a redhead. Beautiful images.

Nicole looks so good in these pics. I love her hair! Music is definitely big in my life, but I mostly only listen to Chinese music.
