And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.

Many of you are now seeing the bright signs of spring.
The sunshine lasts just a little bit longer.
The trees are slowly becoming green and lush.
Flowers peek out from the ground now seeking sunlight.
I also love the sense of rebirth and renewal that happens along with brighter and sunnier days. It is as if we emerge from the cocoons of winter to brighter seasons of promise. It only makes sense that we should be brighter as well in our style for the season. We may not all have the Chanel Couture gowns featured in this stunning editorial of Carey Mulligan aka Daisy Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby” (but how spectacular would that be?!) But we can find this season as a good reason to throw on something bright, floral, and glamorous!
Have a lovely week!
Loved this photo shoot. Those gowns are just so gorgeous. I can’t wait to see this movie. The weather is finally trying to stabilize here. Cheers to SPRING! 🙂 Have a great week doll!

What a stunning and inspiring editorial. This era really suits Carey Mulligan well. I am excited to view the film, as it’s been a while since I last read the book.
How stunning! The fashion here is just impeccable, and i really love the one shot where she is smiling!
Wow it has been a very long time since an editorial has taken my breath away. So thank you for posting these photos. I’m so excited to see Gatsby. I have a feeling it’s going to be spectacular. At least that’s the impression I get from the trailer. These photos, these gowns, and the lovely Carey are pure brilliance. 🙂
Yes this editorial gave me pause as well. The fashion and styling are so decadent and luxurious and totally evoke the book/theme. You said it – this shoot and hopefully the movie are pure brilliance!
this is such a beautiful editorial. love the blue feather dress!

[…] – Photo love {Inspiration}: Renewal via Carey Mulligan for Vogue May 2013 (Great Gatsby Glamour!) […]
I am just dying to see the movie! I didn’t even read the Vogue article when it came because I want the movie to be a surprise (haha, I think i’ve read the book like 40 times so it’s not going to be that much of a surprise) but I want to be visually surprised…but now I think I’m going to have to cheat and check out the article. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
