When was the last time you really relaxed?
Most of us are so busy in our daily lives and sometimes pride ourselves on being busy. “Oh yes, it’s been a crazy week! I’m doing so much at work!” We all want to show that we are putting in our time with our careers, kids, and other activities that we are always busy. I am guilty of creating my own full schedule as well and filling my free hours with all day activities with friends, prepping/cooking most of our meals, and doing other household chores. At the end of it all, I am exhausted.
I have tried to relax by building in my own time on Sundays. I try to do either nothing or surf through the online fashion magazines to fill my mind with pretty pictures. I am also trying not to schedule too many activities together so that I am exhausted. It helps me feel more relaxed, even if I’m just surfing the web! That is the way for me to decompress and renew myself. After all I need to take the time to enjoy the fruits of my labor rather than keep on laboring right?
How do you relax?
Have a lovely week!
i got to enjoy a relaxing day today! it was so nice to sleep in, lounge, and eat a few treats. hope you get your leisurely time in this week!
I think taking sufficient time for yourself is a good idea. So kudos to you for relaxing and reading beauty mags.

I love taking time to unwind and relax.
I also need to remember to build in time to relax. My “lazy” weekends consist of running errands, exercising and prepping meals for the week. When I list it all out, it seems rather hectic. These days, I try to relax by reading magazines or watching something on Netflix.
Love that quote…
But this week ahead I’ll be real busy, so when to relax… definitely starting Saturday, I’ll be in a calm serene place.
Oh lord…I’d have to say last February when we went to Brazil. Truly not a care in the world!
Such a great quote and I usually relax in the evenings. I pour myself a glass of wine and spend the evening on the balcony chatting away with balazs:) Muah, sweetie
I always try to relax on Sundays. The only thing I tend to do on Sundays is read, watch tv and wash my hair. I do enough Monday-Saturday (as I’m sure we all do), so there should at least be one day in the week to truly sit back and do nothing.
Some how I manage to relax only on holidays!
How have you been?

I think we owe it to ourselves to take every day some moments of relax, without feeling guilty about it, without feeling compelled to be productive all the time. I loved the quote and will save it as a reminder. I wish you a relaxing end of the day!!
I recently left my job to relax and enjoy some downtime… but instead I went off on a volunteer trip – it is so hard to just stop and turn off every now and then.
Love the quote at the top of this post.
i relax when my children are asleep for the evening, usually with a glass of wine(which i badly need by the end of the day to calm my frazzled nerves:-)). love the pics!
Beautiful pictures! I’m still trying to figure out how to relax 🙂
I dont remember when was the last time… Seems so long ago!
Relaxing really is important. I love to go to bed 30 minutes early with a good book and read while snuggled up. It’s soooo very relaxing.
I think the last time I ‘relaxed’ was around xmas when I had about 12 days off. Even though I took about 4 days off from work, I was busy!
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I really need to start carving out time specifically dedicated to relaxing. Otherwise, I get so overwhelmed with the chaos of multiple jobs, volunteering, my relationship, friends, family, responsibilities, etc. Thanks for the really important reminder. 🙂
1. LOVE your new layout
2. The last time I truly felt relaxed was when Dave and I went to a waterpark and spent the entire day going down water slides. I didn’t think about work or anything on my to-do list. It felt so freeing.
