“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
Pablo Picasso
Harper’s Bazaar September 2015
Picasso is undeniably one of the greatest figures and influencers in the art world. So it is natural that his work should still influence work today. I went to a very cool exhibit of Picasso’s litographs a few years ago and am still captivated by his work.
I loved the Picasso inspired editorial “Picasso’s women” shot by Ben Hassett for Harper’s Bazaar September 2015. My blogger buddy Kizzy first posted about this photoshoot and I love the inspiration. There is a wonderful balance with Daiane Conterato’s poses and the accessories which make for a very cool hybrid of fashion mimicking and then transforming into a new type of Picasso inspired art. These shots are certainly not the typical fashion editorial shots and bring such a different sense of energy and vibrancy. So I thought this was a fun way to shake off the dust from an otherwise regular Monday. I hope you find more art this week that washes away the dust of everyday life.
Have a lovely week!
This is giving me a heavy dose of fierce and fab! Just what I needed on this dreary Monday! Happy new week gorgeous! xx

These images are definitely not your typical fashion editorial pics. I love the artful look and how it marries Picasso’s signature painting style with the photos.

Marvellous inspiration, I also love the unconventional way they did this editorial. The third image is my favourite.
