What does your style say about your personality?
I saw this beautiful, yet simple editorial of Cate Blanchett in Vogue and was instantly captivated by the neutral colors in the shoot. Beige is usually considered pretty boring, but it is so much more interesting when incorporated into the right style and setting. Her clothing indicates a steadiness, elegance, and maturity which definitely seem to represent Cate as well. I also found the quote by Martin Amis to be interesting – does style really dictate our morality and values as well?
Certainly, we will have different impressions of a woman who wears brighter colors in shorter, tighter lengths than one wearing a full length piece that is more generously cut. A few religions definitely equate a woman’s fashion with morality as well. I have a bit more of a modern take on it – I think we all have many sides to our personalities and while style may show our personalities, it really represents only our current mood or feeling. So yes we may feel a bit more conservative some days and a bit brighter and adventurous other days. Our styles may stay within a certain range, but they still only represent a part of us.

These are stunning, she looks amazing. And I agree with you…we like different colours and tones at different moments based on our moods. Sometimes I like bright colours and other times I just want to wear black or white or something neutral!! I don’t see why we must define ourselves, but just enjoy the freedom in wearing what we like :)) I hope you have a great week doll xx
Style says everything about your personality, both in truth and in what we want others to think, but may not believe ourselves.
I think that Cate Blanchett is also one to wear the clothing— not be worn by it— so even if she is wearing something understated the statement it does make rings clear (does that make sense?!)….. beautiful editorial.
I think neutrals really suit blondes and is the most sophisticated look! As far as style dictating moral style, hmm good food for thought. I think our clothes are an outpicturing of our mental state or our hopes and dreams, but agree with you–in modern society it’s more of a mood indicator.

Very glam! My style usually indicates my mood. However, there are times I dress to reflect my other personality who can be a bit naughty:-)
Stacey, I love the way you think! I definitely dress to fit my mood, but once in a while do dress a little bit differently to reflect a quieter but sleeker side of my personality!
