I actually haven’t encountered fog too many times in my life. ย I do remember driving through it in NY on a long drive once (that was a slow drive). ย The close up view of fog wasn’t very fun, but the perspective of fog and how it transforms an environment can be quite thrilling. ย I also love that through all the density of the fog, the lights keep on shining and working their way through (has the Golden Gate ever looked better?) ย The light and the brightness will continue through all the murkiness and layers of smoke.

I’d like to think this is an analogy for hope in a time of grayness and uncertainty. ย If you have the light within, it will inevitably shine through, no matter how thick the grayness is on the surface. ย Just remember to keep the light on.
Have a lovely week!
A great reminder for us all.
Fogs are beautiful. But they are very cold. We get them often in Seattle.

This is soo pretty. I drive over the Golden Gate Bridge all the time and sometimes take it for granted and while I’m not a huge fan of fog, it can be really pretty sometimes!

fog is not something i enjoy driving or biking through, but it does make for good photos! that one of the golden gate makes my heart yearn for san francisco!!
Oooooh we would get light through the fog on the prairies in Canada and it was amazing!! Also when I lived on an island in the PNW. Serene.

This is a sight I’m all too familiar with – I’m not a fan of the fog, but I do love late August when the fog changes from all-encompassing to low-lying and beautiful as shown above. You’ve put a wonderful spin on it, and I’ll try to remember it the next time I’m confronted with a foggy day ๐
GORGEOUS. That is so gorgeous.
great message. And wow! Those photos are amazing… I left my heart in SF!
Those words are beautiful. Unfortunately we’re experiencing a lot of fog over here in the Netherlands at the moment, it just won’t stop. You can’t look further than 10 meters and mascara is a big no-no. But these photos are wonderful, if only fog could be that beautiful in the Netherlands too.
Love, Lisa
these are beautiful!
