“I used to be Snow White but I drifted.”

Do you find yourself becoming more or less particular about things as you get older?
I started thinking about this after seeing this editorial and reading about Zoe letting go a little this past year (in terms of diet and exercise, but doesn’t she still look amazing?)
There are certain things I’ve become more particular about – going to the gym more (sigh slowing metabolism!), making healthier dietary choices, and showing appreciation for the loved ones in my life.
But there are other aspects of my life where I’ve started to let go a little.
No, I can not always be Martha Stewart and keep my home picture perfect. Yes, my husband will continue to occasionally leave the bed unmade and leave little piles of dry cleaning bags in the closet. No, I won’t judge my friends for their actions because everyone is entitled to do something silly once in a while. Yes, I will make mistakes and slip up once in a while.
We can’t all be perfect. But we can live, learn, and let go.
Have a lovely week!
These are beautiful, she looks really lovely. I think as you get older, you start to realize what’s more important in life and not get annoyed by all the small things – well some do at least 🙂 Happy Monday doll xx
Zoe is so exquisite; I adore her.

LOVE how this shoot was styled. Zoe looks great, as always

This editorial is simple elegance. I’ve always loved her style. It’s practical and stylish. Yes, the older I get I find the more forgiving I am, as well as not letting the small, trivial things get you down. Nobody is perfect! 🙂
Yes I definitely have become less particular about certain things as I’ve gotten older. I think you just start to realize that little things really don’t have any power over your happiness.
Have a fantastic week dear!

She looks amazing indeed… I agree that we should let go sometimes. It’s what I’ve been trying to do over the past few years, to feel better and increase my well being. The hardest thing is self-acceptance. Hope you enjoyed your weekend in spite of the cutbacks on carbs…

That first dress she’s wearing KILLS me! It is so gorgeous and she’s such a beautiful woman. I wish Bradley Cooper would’ve stayed with her. HAHAHA They would’ve been the perfect couple. I feel exactly the same way you do. It’s a little of both. I think I’m making better decisions as I grow older.

That laser cut dress…oh my! Perfection. She is such a beauty!
So beautiful!
With age comes the understanding of priorities — and while I can’t control everything, I have learned to be able to enjoy the areas where I now relax a bit…
I love Zoe. She’s beautiful and very real. I’ve definitely let go of certain things as I’ve gotten older and more mature. I’ve learned some hard lessons along the way that have allowed me to let go a little easier. 🙂 With age comes wisdom, and you learn what is important and what isn’t as important…what can take a back seat and what needs to be tended to right away. This was an excellent post, thanks for sharing with us!!

i’ve definitely let go of a lot as i’ve gotten older and more comfortable in my skin.
That Mae West quote sums it up pretty perfectly I think. Priorities change as we get older. But seriously, damn that slower metabolism!
Anyway, these photos of Zoe are gorgeous. Although I do wish her hair wasn’t pulled into a pony tail for all the looks, she is still bringing life to spring whites.
