“Spring comes and one remembers one’s innocence.”
– Yoko Ono
What is your favorite aspect of spring?
I found Yoko Ono’s quote about the season interesting – I have always thought of spring as a season of renewal and new beginnings, but never thought of it as one of innocence. But when we see new life in the world, whether it is a bouncing baby or a solitary beautiful rose in bloom, isn’t it inherently untouched and innocent? I think of my new daughter who was born a few weeks short of spring and her innocence. She hasn’t been influenced or corrupted by anything yet. She is still exploring and learning about the world and I am still appreciating her sense of wonder. May we all retain a sense of innocence in the spring!
Have a lovely week.
