Cock your hat, angles are attitudes.
Frank Sinatra
True story: My husband first fell in love with me because of my hat. Â Ok, that is a slight exaggeration, but the hat did play a role. Â One of the images I first impressed upon him was me in a fluffy, styling angora hat as I prepared for a cold day by the water in Brooklyn. He thought I was stylish and it also helped that he liked the cupcakes I brought to our mutual friend’s party. Â So you see the power of a good hat?
I have always been a hat wearer. Â Of course hats are functional because they protect against the sun and keep in precious heat during the cold weather months. Â But I love a good fedora or cap because they also finish off an outfit nicely. Â They also give off a little dose of attitude when cocked just a little to one side. Â What’s wrong with a little attitude right?
Have a lovely week!
Great style and food! That’s so cute! Men definitely notice those things! Hats can be so stylish. Great post!
Hehe, great style and food are perfect for making friends and finding partners!
I wish I looked good in hats! I’m always a little envious when I see girls sporting cute hats . . . but I’ve never really felt comfortable in them. It’s never really hot or cold enough here to require a hat, but you’re right: they can be so stylish. 🙂
You never know Claire – maybe you haven’t found the right hat yet! A fedora is always a great option during the summer!
I love hats…they are marvellous!! These photos are perfect. And the story of you and your husband is precious. I hope you have a wonderful week doll x
Haha, loved your love story about the hat! I am very much a hat person myself and would love to have the second one in my collection.
Aren’t hats great? I hope you’re having a good vacation dear! I wanted to reply to you sooner, but also want you to just enjoy your time off!
I love a good hat, too – though I’m never sure I can really pull them off. A straw fedora is a “must” for me during the summer with my fair skin, but I’d love to try some winter hats as well. Great photos!
Kim, I bet you’d look great in a newsboy or fedora for the cooler weather!
I haven’t always been a hat wearer, but I definitely am one now! Love your little story, I’m sure you were so striking in your hat!
You look great in hats so I’m glad that you discovered them! Thanks for thinking I was striking in my hat. It was a pretty cool hat (gotta love angora sometimes!)
Oh how I wish I looked good in hats!
I’m sure you look great in hats Krysten – it is all about finding the right hat!
