“Grace in women has more effect than beauty.”
– William Hazlitt
Would you consider yourself graceful?
I suppose I can be graceful sometimes. I certainly attempt to be graceful in the company of other people. I make my movements a little more carefully and make my steps lighter and more fluid. Of course that contrasts with how I sometimes “move like a stampede of horses” as my mother likes to say when I am racing up and down the stairs when I visit home.
I was captivated by this editorial because it is called “State of Grace” and very simply and elegantly displays the model with various gorgeous necklaces and delicate tops. It made me reflect, do I live my life in a state of grace? Of course grace can demonstrate style and a refined aesthetic. But grace can also be defined by how you treat others and the good will that you display towards them. I unfortunately was not always someone that possessed a lot of grace. I could also be petulant and demanding (I blame it on baby of the family complex. But I have learned to become a more gracious person through the years. I’ve attempted to be more empathetic, patient, and respectful. I find that this is usually the best way to be treated in the same manner. Even if I’m not treated in a certain way, I can still control my own behavior and choose to live my life in a state of grace.
Have a lovely week!
Grace takes time. It truly depends on how much sleep I’ve had. I always try to treat people with respect though…always.

I’d like to believe I’m graceful, but I don’t know that I always am. My grandmother was the queen of grace, and I am forever striving to be like her.
i try to be graceful, that’s for sure. love the red lips.

Kim, I’m just like you and can be very graceful or totally klutzy! Haha, at least I try to make a conscious effort to be graceful!
It’s one of my favorite characteristics in people and I so try to be…gorgeous images.
