Over the years, I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.
Yves Saint Laurent
The power of a glamorous outfit can not be denied. Of course yards and yards of deep red satin are a gorgeous sight as is the print of a beautiful piece of chantilly lace. But as the saying goes, one has to wear a dress and not let a dress wear her (or suit of course for the suit wearers).
The Vogue 120 came out during the summer and celebrated designers, models, actors, and overall influencers under 45 years old. These familiar fashion and art superstars are mostly decked out in luxurious gowns and all look fabulous. But they are all fabulously accomplished as well-from Christopher Bailey who re-invigorated the Burberry brand with modern and sensual silhouettes or Liu Wen who became the first Asian face of Estée Lauder – these 120 have strived to do great work in their fields.
While we may not all be in the Vogue 12o and may not all have occasion to wear Lanvin gowns, we can certainly learn a thing or two from these individuals. Remember that glamour comes from the inside as well. So be glamorous (and I hope you still get a chance to sport a rocking gown soon!)
Have a lovely week!

Glamour DOES come from within! I so agree with your statement. All of these gowns are gorgeous, but beauty has to be within you. Thanks for sharing this!
