I don’t care how poor a man is, if he has family, he’s rich.

Although Mother’s Day was yesterday in many parts of the world, I wanted to take a moment not only to commemorate mothers, but families. While my family is scattered across the world, I really love that my husband and I are also our own family unit now. The definition of family doesn’t have to be in a biological sense. We also have a few close friends in the area and our friendship and intimacy make us like family to each other as well.
Family is the person/people who unconditionally love and support you through each phase of your life. While we may not always agree with each other, we always love and support one and other. That is more fulfilling than anything money can buy.
Have a great week lovelies!
I like that last photo!
Wow, just found your blog (I know, Im slow to catch on!) and I love it! Love all of these photos. Now following! Miss Walker xoxo
Yes totally agree with you…and I love that picture of the guys with Prince Charles.
So so true! I have been thinking of this the whole week after our great friend died, leaving suddenly his wife and two children. So sad, time for appreciation of what you have. Love!!
I couldn’t agree more – family isn’t necessarily a blood relation!! Just love these beautiful photos. I don’t think I ever saw that fabulous last one of Charles with the boys.
Beautiful words, and so true! Nothing is more important than family, however you define the word.
Lovely photos!
Great message! I completely agree and think it’s so important to remember just how lucky we are to have people in our lives who never falter in their love and support for us!
I love your inspirational words. You rock.
These are sooo cute!!! 🙂

Beautiful post! I’m like you – my family is scattered around the world, but I’m not allowed to forget that my husband and I are one as well. Loved the photos you included. I adore the one with Grace Kelly and her children.
The family I chose is as important to me as the one I was born into!

Lovely images -thanks for posting x
this is such a sweet post! it is making me tear up a bit. mother’s day is hard for some, particularly if they are not close with their mom or if they have lost their mom. it is good to just be happy for whatever family and friends one has. 🙂
That quote is so true! Love the pics too! XX
Loved this post! Particularly your thoghts! You know, I’m a continent far away from my Biological Family but I’ve managed to built a new one, with my son Max and my argentinian friends who live here. It is so important to have a “contention and support network” and that is something priceless. Huge Hug and have a fantastic week! 🙂 XoXo
This is a very great post, I love the vintage looking photos, and my favorite is the 1st one .
