What exotic people, places or foods inspire you?

I’m fascinated by unique and ethnic prints and patterns – anything from whimsical Scandinavian Marimekko designs to Southeast Asian artisanal ikat prints.

But the exotic locale that has really been on my mind lately is Burma. Ā We had intended to visit the ancient city of Yangon or Mandalay some time last year, but decided to delay the trip until the little lady made an appearance. Ā Now that she is here though, we will have to wait at least a few more months. Ā But I would love to visit the golden temples and experience an environment which still isn’t entirely besieged by mass market franchises catering to tourists.

Do I want to visit Burma because it is exotic to me? Ā Definitely. Ā I’m fascinated by different cultures and their designs and can’t wait to make this trip some day!

Have a lovely week!

Thank you Lydia! I have to save editorials if I find them really interesting and eye catching. The headpieces and background in this shoot were just stunning and so exotic right?
